We're driving from CDG to Dordogne, any tips ?
Is there reason to drive when the train is so much easier, faster, comfortable, and cheaper?
it a very long drive. If you just want to get to Dordgogne, you might consider the train or adding on a flight to Bordeaux and getting a car there. The Dordgogne area is a 2-3 hour drive from Bordeaux.
If you are looking for a slower paced trip, you might want to look at the Loire area as a stop-off place for a couple of days (Tours area); you'd still have a fairly long drive depending on where you are going to go in Dordgogne. Be sure to check www.viamichelin.com to research routes, drive times and expense of driving to Dordgogne
