TGV to Metro Question

Tomorrow I will be taking the TGV from Tours to Paris Montparnasse. Is there a metro there as well? Trying to figure out the best way to make it to the Saint- Germain-des-pres metro stop on line 4. Any advice on where this is located that can facilitate a transfer is greatly appreciated.

Yes the Montparnasse station is connected to the Montparnasse-Bienvenüe métro station on line 4. Follow the signs to métro line 4 and take it in the direction of Porte de Clignancourt. Saint-Germain-des-Prés will be 3 stops away. Depending on the address you might be able to walk to your destination from Montparnasse if you only have carry-on wheeled luggage. www.ratp.fr/plan-interactif/carteidf.php…

Every train station in Paris is connected to the metro.

It´s rather simple actually. Follow the signs to M4 which is at level (Niveau) -1, board the métro direction Porte de Clignancourt, exit at the 3rd stop St Germain des Prés.

Here is a layout of the terminal:

Did this yeasterday!

Couple of things;

The walk is quite long to the metro line 4 so there is a moving walking after you pass the ticket barrier to speed things up.

Queues can be long to buy metro tickets at counter/machines...don't be tempted to buy tickets off strangers.
