Ferris Wheel

I saw one of these many years ago near the Chamos Élysées.. Does it still exist and is it only there certain moths throughout the year?

We're visiting in 2 weeks time!

Thanks

Kate

They put one up in the summer in the Tulleries gardens alongside Rue De Rivoli and for the Christmas Markets it returns (presumably the same one) at the east end of the Champs Élysées at Place de la Concorde.

I suspect in two weeks time it unfortunately won't be there.

It's not always just in summer. It was, according to Le Parisien and a few other sites I just read, there for Christmas/winter last year. The actual website, though, offers zero information about times/fees or anything practical.

They should start assembling it around the beginning of November. I saw that the support rings for the awful Champs Elysées Christmas décorations are already in place.

kerouac2 - those neon hula hoops are the reason I started going to London for the holidays! The ferris wheel is very nice, though...

Will the wheel be up in May 14?

If not is there any other giant ferris wheel or observatory wheel i can visit?

There is a summer carnival in the Tuileries that has a large Ferris wheel, but it runs around July and August.

There will be two Ferris wheels by the same operator as the Champs Elysées wheel at the Foire du Trône in the Bois de Vincennes in May.

We were there in late November 2010 and we rode the Ferris wheel at Place de la Concorde. No lines at all and my niece and I had the pod to ourselves. As I recall 10 euros each for 3 spins so expensive but very memorable!
