Train from CDG to BRU

We will be dropping our car at CDG and need to travel by train to Brussels Airport (BRU). It appears the only way to do that is to take the train to Brussels Midi and then catch a train (4/hour) from Midi to BRU. Is that correct?

That is correct. You have to change trains at Brussels Midi.

Why are you leaving a rental car at CDG if you need to take a train to Brusseles? Why don´t you leave your car at Gare du Nord which would be a great deal easier.

None the less, without a specific travel date and time, train options will only be a guess. Generally, it is possible to depart Gare du Nord and be at BRU in under 2 hours:

If Gare du Nord is an option, as previously suggested, you could use it. There is a much more frequent schedule from there than from CDG. See below link for schedule info. The TGV trains normally leave from CDG, while the Thalys departs from Gare du Nord.

Also note that it is uncertain the traffic time to reach gare du nord by car.. particulary if you come via A1/Pte de la Chapelle.... 1h25 by train, but if you have to add 1h30 for 20km by car...
