After spending many hours researching hotels, we may consider renting an apartment. There are two of us on honeymoon, first time to paris, in our 30's. We are spending 9 nights.
There is only one other time I did a vrbo experience and it was terrible. The bed was uncomfortable etc, etc. But I'd like to consider it again if it could benefit us. I'm wondering what others have to say about pros vs cons.
In my opinion, hotel pros are:
-Room service and/or breakfast in the hotel
-Possibility of being able to change rooms if don't like the first one
-Immediate help from conceirge type service
-Daily maid service
Noise from other guests
Can be a bit expensive
Bigger space than most hotels
Possibly save money on food?
"Stuck" with it, even if its not great
No conceirge help
Currently my front runner hotel is Hotel Obseratorie Luxemborg.
I envision going to a cafe nearby and bringing breakfast of sorts back to the apartment and dining overlooking the streets of Paris. Is that realistic?
Thanks so much.
