Insurance for a one month vacation in Paris?

In previous trips abroad - generally as part of a tour, we have purchased trip insurance, which covered cancellation, delay, luggage mishaps, medical care and evacuation.

On this occasion, we are renting an apartment in Paris for a month.

I have read a thread on this forum from 2009, discussing rental apartment insurance which protects the renter from liability during the rental period, in addition to any other form of trip insurance.

If we purchase a "comprehensive" trip insurance policy, would this usually include such coverage or would most people treat this separately from trip insurance.

I know some homeowners insurance might also provide such liability coverage, but I would appreciate others experience and recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Unless the rental apartment owner is requiring you to provide proof of insurance I wouldn't worry about it.

I would check with the insurance company you are use to dealing with and ask this question...
