quick question, Eiffel Tower lights :)

Just wondering when the Eiffel Tower will first 'twinkle' tonight, 9pm or 10pm? Planning on heading over to see it light up, it's our last night in Paris and this would make the perfect end to our trip. Many thanks!

It doesn't twinkle until it's completely dark. It will be at least 10:00 pm, might not be until 11:00 pm

The sun doesn't set until 9:16 PM tonight, and civil twilight doesn't end until 9:57, so it won't be earlier than 10 PM.

So what time did they actually twinkle?

I dined 10 days ago at Les Ombres, a restaurant on top of Musee du Quai Branly, which can see the Eiffel Tour and the surroundings in full view. Our dinner started from 7:30pm until 10:45pm. We saw the Eiffel Tour started to twinkle at around 10:00pm.

When I passed a few days ago, the tower did not twinkle at 10:00 PM. The sun doesn't set at this time of year until just before 10 PM. At 11 PM it's dark enough.

In any case, when it is dark, it twinkles on the hour for 5 minutes until 1am. It used to twinkle for 10 minutes but now we are trying to save some money.

hmm, I thought last year that we took a tour of the Seine at 9:30 from Pont Neuf and were at the tower when it twinkled at 10pm... it was July though so now I'm second guessing myself as to what to do in a few weeks time.... we're with kids so the earlier the better but I'm thinking we may need to take the 10:30 ride....

The days are getting shorter now so it will probably twinkle soon at 10pm even if it is not doing so yet.
