Paris for the 1st time - Train stations

I see you can a train/metro from CDG into Paris. We are going on to London after a few days. My question is Nord station the same that appears on some sites as PAR as in the Euro to London? I would like to stay close to the station for all our needs once we get there from EDG.

City Vacation versus Beach Vacation.

Thanks

Yes, it is. Gare du Nord is the only station in central Paris from which you can take the Eurostar to London.

But there's no reason to stay close to the Gare du Nord, which is a pretty charmless area. You can stay in nicer area that's one or two stops further, and still have easy access to the GdN.
