Taxi to Issy

Read so many taxi threads (as well as those about private transfer)

But could not decide which thread will be the most appropriate to post this question in.

We are four healthy seniors and will be arriving on Sunday morning with four carry on rollers and four small backpacks. (we cant speak or understand any French)

Hotel is very convenient to RER and we like to avoid taxi (while most drivers are honest, there are always some bad apple)

However, after reading advice here, it seems that private transfer are not recommended (suntransfer was quoting Euro 55 which was very less compared to others who were quoting 75 euro)

With taxi, there would be 3 euro for the 4th pax and 3 euro for additional 3 bags but how much will be the base fare (different calculators are giving different estimates)

On sunday morning from CDG to Issy what rate will apply (Band B or Band C)

Believe RER would be 48 euro to Issy any way.

Trying to decide between RER (known 48 euro cost but exposure to crime while jet-lagged) and taxi (cost unknown with slight possibility of driver taking "scenic" route)

Appreciate advice

I think the RER, metro and/or tramway line 3 is your best bet for this trip. A taxi would be considerably more expensive since this is the completely opposite side of Paris from CDG.

In terms of taxi rates, on a Sunday, it would be rate C for your entire trip, since the taxi would circle Paris without even entering the city (rate B) -- beware of sticker shock if you find yourself in a taxi!

Sunday morning is easy and calm for public transportation.

Thank you for your feedback.

In terms of sticker shock, how much we should expect for sunday morning (Rate C) from CDG to Issy (about 40km)?

The G7 taxi site has a fare calculator that you can use.

Post trip feedback:

The private shuttle cost 65 euro from airport on Sunday morning with 4 bags and 4 pax.

Return to airport on weekday afternoon cost 60 euro with some traffic.

Thanks for help.

ISSY is not on the line 3, but on the lines 12, 8 and RER C (depending of the situation in Issy).
