RER transfers

I'm thinking of taking the RER from CDG airport to Arc de Triomphe station. Is it difficult (stairs, etc) to make the transfer at Chatellet - Les Halles station from the blue line to the red line with luggage? Any advise would be appreciated.

You will have to take escalators up, walk across a hall and then take escalators down. Not difficult at all with luggage except that the station is often crowded and people walk at a hectic pace.

By the way, the red line is RER A and you will want to take it in the direction of Saint-Germain-en-Laye / Poissy / Cergy.
