Me and my husband are planning to visit Paris in September for 3 days. Would like to know how should we plan our itinerary. Thanks

Start with a good guidebook, maybe rent some travel DVD's or stream some video from YouTube. You and your husband should make a list of things YOU want to see and things YOU want to do because it's your vacation. Once you have made a checklist of items or an initial itinerary, most here are incredibly helpful.

Is it your first trip? It makes a difference.

I would suggest that you plan time to just sit in a cafe with a glass of wine/beer, or a coffee and watch the tide of life pass you by. Or spend time in the Tuilleries of Luxembourg Garderns, September can be very pleasant, so if it is nice, try to enjoy the outdoors.

Otherwise, try to get an idea for you and your husband's "must-dos" without trying to see and do everything, once you have a better idea of what YOU want to do, experts here can offer invaluable advice.

And start by booking your hotel: September being the busiest month, you may find that you don't have as much accomodation choise as you expect, even for just three days.

If you're at a complete loss, you can mirror canned itineraries found in most any guidebook...

Try looking at your personal interests, (Architecture, Art, History, etc.) then get a guidebook or get on the internet and see what matches them. Not everyone is interested in the same things and what is a must see/must do to some may not be to you. Tailor your trip to suit you, not someone else's idea of what you should see/do.
