Sights free for under 26yo?

So I've read online and kind of eyed the sights last year that they grant free access to most of the sights (louvre, versailles, arc de triomphe et.) for those who are under 26 eu citizens.

Now we didn't test this last year cause we only went to Eiffel Tower and that cost anyway so I'd like to know how this works?

Especially in Versailles since we're going there. How do we get in free? Do we queue normally for ticket booth or is there like some other way we have to go to get in or something? Apparently passports are appropriate proof of age/citizenship? Any other tips?

We plan to get the best of it because we're 25 now so it's our last chance xD

You take your EU passport with you and there is a separate queue at most places, including Versailles (we sailed in!)

Good to know! Are the separate lines marked somehow, say in Versailles and Arc de Triomphe (we're going at least to those!)?

At Versailles it was, yes, it was a totally separate entrance, uninvolved with the massive queue. Arc, no, it was the usual queue and you just showed your passport at the ticket window.

Free entrance is not a matter of citizenship. One must only be a resident of the EU. From the Louvre website:

_____

_____

Technically, anyone 18-25 living in the EU could take advantage of free admission.
