Hi Spokane... from near Seattle!!!
I like this area very much. Check VRBO.com and put in the # . to see pictures etc.
This is a VRBO apt that I like so much. The owner is very nice!
I spoke with her on the phone.
It is VRBO# 38764 it is on the French first floor with an elevator. It is on 21 rue Tournon and Blv St Germain. The Senate is across the street and the front window has a view of the Republican Guard. It is 790euros per week.
Another place I have been looking into is VRBO # 56871 it is in the 6e and on a French first floor with an elevator too.

Ile St. Louis (name of Apartment)
I agree with Les about Paris Perfect. I stayed in one of their apartments for my honeymoon in June and it was great. A bit pricey, but you do get an ET view, nice furnishings, and a very well equipped apartment. If you're going off season, their prices are a bit more reasonable.
I couldn't tell from your post whether you already had gone by now, or just planning ahead -- I would suggest the Guest Apartment site (we've used them many times and they have one on Quai d'Anjou, Ile St Louis, that was very nice -- with 1-1/2 baths and a larger than usual kitchen, AND a small terrace overlooking the river with a table and two chairs that was perfect for the breakfast croissant and the evening glass of champagne).
