I would think the best would be to fly to Paris and then take a train.
SNCF runs trains from CDG to Montpellier, some direct and some with a change of train at Lyon or Valence. If you book when tickets go on sale 3 months before travel, you could get a ticket for €25. The walk-up price is over €100. See www.tgv-europe.com/enEdited: 30 March 2013, 23:08
It depends a bit on what it is you are planning to do - i.e. will youhave a car? If you want to go to somewhere else near Montpellier, there may be other options - eg - Belfast to Liverpool, and then Liverpool to Nimes or Carcassonne. There may also be flights from Manchester, or flights from other parts of Ireland to the south of France
Hi, you could fly Ryanair Dublin to Carcassonne then either hire a car or take the train from Carcassonne to Montpeiller.
Hi, its the same distance from Carcassonne to Montpeiller as it is from Perpignan, in fact the A61 from Carcassonne joins the the A9 and both are great roads so driving is easy. you can get the Airporter bus from Belfast to Dublin so it depends which flight times would suit best each way.
