Hotels near TGV in Montpelier France

We have to leave out of Montpelier France airport in June. Looking for a safe, reasonable hotel near the TGV station. Also, how do we get from the hotel to the airport? Is there a train? If taxi, how much would we pay?

St Roch, the TGV station, is near the middle of Montpellier. There is a long list of hotels within easy walking distance including an Ibis. Pullman, and Mercure.

To reach the airport, a taxi would be about 25€ or the tramway/bus is about 6€,

I agree the IBIS close to Place de Comedie is handy both for the train station and the airport bus

It is one tram stop from the station and on the main square (webcam : www.montpellier.fr/150-webcam-montpellier.htm ).
