Latest hotel thread - advice for oct 09 ?

So lots of closed threads ?? Heading to Toulouse late October, and finding availability at the Crowne Plaza - any recent experiences ? Looking at Hotel Garonne as well. Anything on the new Pullman or any other steers ?

Hi

We live in St Beat in the Haute Garonne and often have weekends away in Toulouse, we love it.

Every time we stay at the Crown Plaza on the Place de Capitole.

Try to get a room overlooking the square. Also if you can get an upgrade to the club lounge then there is complementary breakfast in the morning and also happy hour type event early evening with nibbles.

Have a wonderful tirp.

Cheers for the reply - we have already booked 3 nights at the Crowne Plaza, must email and ask for the room overlooking the square - we will be there for 3 nights Saturday to Tuesday after flying into Carcassonne. Then off to Montpellier for 2 nights before possibly finishing off with 2 nights in Carcassonne before flying back to Scotland.

Any tips on restaurants, good areas for bars etc. Is there anywhere for a good meal on Saturday night that I should try for a reservation - maybe around 120ish euros for 2 ? Any advice gratefully received, merci !

There are absolutely lots of places to eat so you will be fine. We are not the best to ask because we are vegetarian so we had a limited choice.

Lovely place to eat is on the square outside the hotel - if it is warm then outside and you can people watch. The side streets off the square also have lovely restaurants too.

Sorry cant be more specific on this one.

If your room does not include breakfast I wouldn't personally have it at the hotel - realy expensive. When we didn't have breakfast included we always had it in one of the places just outside on the square for around 5 euros 50 for drink, croissant, orange juice, lovely bread and preserves.
