weather at end of feb early march

I have checked " metcheck

for weather in Lille but can only seem to get from today, 12th feb to 19th.

My husband and son will be in that area fromTues 23rd for about a week and would love some more info on possible weather conditions.

Can they safely assume the temperatures given for the week 12th- 19th will continue for the next 2 weeks or so?

It is impossible for us, from Western Australia, to even imagine anything colder than about 12* c during the day and about 3*c at night .... and temperatures this low are not the normal.

Can anyone give some advice on how many layers of clothing they will need.

They have gloves, scarves and sheep skin hats, but are not sure of the layers needed to keep the rest warm.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Nothing, as you know, is as varied and unpredictable as the weather but you could expect somewhere between 5 - 12 *C during the day and 0 - 6 *C at night.

www.weatheronline.co.uk have these figures as averages over the last 13 years in Lille with a max temp of 15 *C and a min of -6 *C.

Take the gloves, scarves and hats and then just add a decent jumper, a warm jacket and a couple of pairs of socks to your normal outfit and you'll be ok.
