Calais is the closet beachside town. Most trains take between 1 hour 20 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes but there are a few trains each day that take only 30 minutes. The one way fare is 18.50€.

You can check train schedules on the website http://en.voyages-sncf.com/en/ but if it redirects you to the RailEurope website (which should be avoided) then switch your ticket collection country to Antarctic. You can also use www.capitainetrain.com, which won't cause that redirect problem. You can buy your ticket before boarding the train. You can also buy your return ticket at the same time. Say you want open tickets and that way you can take any train you want and aren't restricted to a certain time. Don't forget to punch your ticket in the validation machine before boarding the train.

The train schedules aren't posted more than 3 months in advance but you can look at any day within the next 3 months to get an idea of the schedules, which likely won't change much, if at all.

It is also possible to get to Dunkerque from Lille by train in just over an hour.

There are some fast trains (TERGV) for which a supplement is payable and which do the journey in about 35 minutes.

From outside the station in Dunkerque you can get a bus along the coast to resorts such as Malo Les Bains and Leffrinckoucke.

You can also get a train from Lille to Oostende on the Belgian coast, but the journey takes longer. (1 hour 40 minutes)

Interesting that it is often a shorter journey to Dunkerque than Calais. You can also consider Boulogne-sur-Mer, which is 1 hour from Lille by train. Here are the tourist office websites for all three places:
