Bayeux over Easter

Hi - we are planning to have 5 nights in Bayeux over Easter 2015, arriving on Friday.

Are any of the destination experts able to advise what services & attractions will be closed over Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday?

Will all the restaurants and shops be open as usual?

Is Easter a busy time in Bayeux?

We will have a hire car, and plan to spend 2 days touring the coast, and 1 day driving to Mt St Michel, as well as visiting the main sights in Bayeux, and Caen.

Our itinerary will depend on Easter closures, so any advice regarding closures would be much appreciated.

All tourist attractions, museums and restaurants will be open at Easter. Friday is not a holiday in France and Easter really marks the beginning of the "season". Restaurants will be busy on Easter Sunday lunchtime (a lot close on Sunday evenings) and Mont St Michel will be a nightmare on that day. Bayeux will be relatively busy but nowhere near as busy as it is in July and August. Shops are always closed on Sundays and they will be on Monday too.

Thank you - that has been really helpful. We will make sure we avoid Mont St Michel over the weekend. We will also think about a picnic lunch on Sunday, so we don't have to worry about getting into a restaurant.

Sorry, no response to our question, just a very annoyed response to the Tripadvisor/Booking.com partnership. Do we really need favoured hotels now advertised at the beginning of every thread? This is supposed to be a non-biased forum on travel and all of a sudden the hotels advertising with Booking.com are appearing at the beginning of every thread. Come on Triadvisor, get back to your "balanced" view of travel. I don't think I want to be a "destination expert" if you're going to be advertising specific hotels that advertise with your partner above and beyond those who get good reviews with travellers. I don't think this is playing the game. Chateau Damigny is getting free advertising at the top of every Bayeux question and yet it is only listed as the 6th bestB&B in Bayeux.
