Quant Town just outside of Giverny?

Heading towards Normandy after seeing Giverny for 1/2 day. Any recommendations for a location along the way with a beautiful town to walk around in and nice restaurants? Hotel/B&B stay for 150 EUR max. would also be helpful. Adults only traveling in July this year.

Not far from Giverny is Le Petit Andelys. Recommend La Chaine d'Or as a hotel; beautiful setting along the Seine.

I agree with all the above. Take a look at Richard the Lionheart's Château Gaillard while you are there.

I agree with the above. We stayed at Chaine D'or in 2008. . It had good food, a great view of the Seine from the room (the river was probably about 50 feet from the window), and the weirdest management we ever encountered anywhere in Europe. The restaurant even had those 1950's his and hers menus where "hers" didn't show the prices! HOWEVER, the hotel has now changed management, so it and Les Petit Andeleys would make a delightful stop! We really enjoyed the castle.
