house rental ideas needed in loire valley

Any house rental recommendations for the Loire Valley? Needed for 6 people (2 adults 4 kids: 9-15) with a pool (price $2000-$3000 US a week) for next July.

Advice on good location would also be appreciated,

Two more sites for you to look at:

The Loire Valley is quite large, so in terms of where to stay, it depends on what your planned activities are going to be. If you simply want to laze by the pool all of the time, then anywhere would do. If you want to explore a bit and visit chateaux, then my recommondation would be somewhere around the Tours area. It is central for chateaux like Azay le Rideau, Ussé, Chinon, Amboise, Chenonceaux, Cheverny, Saumur, and Chambord.

The area to the south and southwest of Tours is called the South Touraine. It is very nice, with lots of old pretty villages and towns, and Futurascope is not too far if you wanted to take the children there.

A vacation rental not far from us, that immediately comes to mind is La Folie:

An 18th century farmhouse, very spacious and well-equipped with pool and loads of outdoor space and things to keep 9-15 years olds entertained.

Located near Ferriere-Larcon in Touraine Sud, in countryside setting, under 1 hour to TOURS and Loire Valley chateaux, vineyards. Easy access to Loches, Descartes, Poitiers etc.
