Nantes on Sunday?

Hello,

While on a work trip to France, I spent a weekday afternoon running around Nantes and loved it.

My wife and I are planning a trip to Europe in October and we're thinking of spending Sunday in Nantes.

Will the machines be open on a Sunday?

What about the castle?

I remember there were some awesome churches and a beautiful downtown area. Are the shops open on Sundays?

Your help is appreciated.

John

Hi

I find Nantes dead on sunday, but the machines and the castle are opened. Sea side resorts as Pornic or Le Croisic are more lively on sunday and have more shops opened in the morning. (No shops in Nantes).

Thank you.

When I visited before, the shops and the sidewalk cafes were an important part of Nantes.

I think we'll change our itinerary so we can visit Nantes on Saturday.

Best regards,

John
