Contact the La Rochelle tourist office , they gave details on their website in english of campsites, there are several in the area. Iwould advise you to check out the rules applying to motorhomes in La Rochelle as usage is regulated here.

drive approx 1 hour south to la palmyre, theres plenty of campsites with great facilities in les mathes. check out their website les mathes it lists all sites, most do have hook up for your camper. ive stayed on la pinede lovely pool, not so nice picthes but in a good location and has newer section over the road. or palmyre loisirs or atlantic take campers. Its a great area with the best zoo ive ever been too and child friendly beaches and restaurants
