Pretty specialist and I don't dive, though I have been to these islands a few times.

This link not only has info about diving and general info but links to other organisations, such as ferries to the islands. Unfortunately it is in French, but you could Google translate.

Hope this is of some assistance.

This is the Hyeres tourist office website that lists everything in the area inc the islands.

www.hyeres-tourisme.com/en/

However the main route to Port Cros is from Le Lavandou, tourisme.fr/office-de-tourisme/le-lavandou.h…

Since you can read French you might want to use google.fr to see what you can find.

As an adopted local to the region, I've been to Port-Cros quite a few times, including in the summer for their underwater trail.

Port-Cros is a wonderful natural park with rugged terrain, lush landscape in different shades of green with "maquis" plants such as rock samphires, Jupiter's beards, Mediterranean spurges. It's wild: no cars, no bikes, no roads only footpaths, and only a handful of restaurants and small hotels around the docking port.

The most frequent ferryboats for Port-Cros take off from the Port St.Pierre of Hyères. During high season, many other ports serve the Iles d'Or: Le Lavandou, Cavalaire, St.Tropez, St.Raphael...

Check out: http://www.tlv-tvm.com/ and http://www.vedettesilesdor.fr/ for schedules on a couple of popular ferry boats for the Iles d'Or.

The underwater trail is good fun. You'll need to bring your own gear (mask/tuba) or rent at the port. Also, guided group visits run only from June 15 to Sep 15. We snorkel on our own, but rarely much before mid-May when the water temperature is swimmable (from Nova Scotia, you may have a different definition of "swimmable" than my southern France one :).

One other little advice. Bring some water/drinks along. The island is a hiker's paradise, but there are no shops outside of the little port.

Have a great time!
