Supermarket in Antibes

We are staying 2weeks in the old town and will be going most days to market for food. But is there a cheap supermarket near by? Just want to get a shop for 2 weeks of stuff we need. Is one near or would we need to get a taxi.? Thank you.

Several supermarkets within 15 minutes walk of the Old Town ... Intermarche and Monoprix respectively just off/on Place de Gaulle (main square) . Carrefour on Avenue Pasteur - around corner from above. Utile on Rue Lacan and Rober across street from it on Rue de la Republique. The last two are nearest to the Old Town but Utile is probably Antibes' cheapest supermarket.

Thank you so much. You have given us so much useful information. One final question! I have been looking more at cap de antibes. I think we will be spending more time there. Where is it best to start walk and you previously talked about coves to swim in. Where are these please? Thank you

You can walk right around the Cap starting at the Plage de la Salis to the beautiful little Garoupe beach then take the Sentier des Douanniers ( Smuggler's or Custom Officers path - depending!) Coves along the way. The latter is a very narrow cliff top footpath with guard rails and lots of steps. A bit challenging but unmissable IMO. You could prolong your walk all the way round to Juan les Pins. I reckon this would take 2 and a half hours in one go.

You can cheat a little by taking the No.2 bus to La Fontaine stop and walk down Avenue Mrs Beaumond.

Vkap -You should get what you want at one of several shops which sell beach type stuff across the street from the Ponteil or Salis beach.

You could also try Maxi Bazaar in the Place national in the centre of the Old Town.
