Renting a car in Antibes

We are in Antibes for 2 weeks (have just over a week to go). Although we enjoy the beach we would like to explore a bit, perhaps do a few nearby towns.

We are not overly keen on driving on holiday but realise that it is best to have a car to enjoy the area.

Couple of questions - where in Antibes can we rent a car at a good rate (one place so far quotes 300 euros for 3 days). I think that places like Biot, Grasse and perhaps Menton might be good to visit, any other? And does driving in these areas present any difficulty - was wondering if hilly areas are tight and winding?

Try ML Auto in Rue Lacan . Most of the Yachties in town use this and prices are keen They have a website.

The places you mention are not challenging to reach by road altho there are plenty of roads in to back country that are winding and need a lot of attention. Personally for a drive I would recommend the Gorges du Loup and the road towards St Jeannet and Gattieres.

BTW Grasse and Menton are easily reached by train from Antibes while Biot is only a short trip on the regular local bus No.10
