Travel from Paris to Grasse?

My daughter and I would like to visit in June or July. Is there a train that would take us to Grasse from Paris?

You can take a train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Cannes, and change there for a local train to Grasse. Travel time is a bit over 6 hours.

For the best prices, book direct with the train operator as far ahead as possible. Tickets go on sale 3 months before travel, and the cheapest tickets sell out quickly. Prices keep going up as the travel date gets closer.

You can get train times and costs, and make bookings, in English at www.tgv-europe.com/en but use Antarctic as the "Ticket collection country" on the first screen to avoid being transferred to RailEurope, which has higher prices and does not list all the trains. Grasse is quite a long way from Paris, down near Nice and the Mediterranean. You would need to take the TGV (fast train) to Cannes, about a 5+ hour trip, then the train or a bus up to Grasse. What do you want to see and do in Grasse?

Hi, you can also fly lowcost from Paris to Nice, and then take bus up to Grasse.

Easyjet has daily flights from Paris to Nice. By train the train goes as TGV (fast train) from Paris to Marseille, then it slows down, but a beautiful ride along the cost, correspondence fram Cannes to Grasse, or take the bus from Cannes to Grasse, just one euro the ride.

Thank you so much for your response. I want to take my daughter on a trip celebrating her college graduation. My plans are not set, but mixing our own perfume would be fun. Greetings from Florida.

Thank you for the excellent info. I have seldom traveled outside the U.S.A and this seems daunting. I feel a bit afraid, but your websites will help me to make up my mind. - Interesting little animal on your picture. Thanks again

After learning the time frame I am less enthusiastic. Our desire to visit was fueled by the notion that we could mix our own perfume, but the time frame makes this seem a little silly.Thank you so much for taking the time to answer.
