Where shoul i park in Nice, Eze and Monte Carlo

Hi,

Next week we willbe traveling to Nice area and will rent a car. Where shall i park (cheapest and most convenient to visit the city) in Nice, Eze and Monte Carlo? We have a 6-year-old and anti-walker:-) son with us.

Thank you

Nice has quite a few public car parks and parking spaces;it really depends where you are staying

Eze-there is a car park for visitors at the entrance to the village

Monaco- if you are visiting the old town and palace there is a car park "in" the cliffs with a lift up to the town;also for the casino etc there is a car park on the east side of the harbour

in all cases follow the signs

The main car parking provider in Nice is Vinci - they kindly provide a map online of their dozen or so car parks in central Nice:

vincipark.com/vincipark.nsf/…06000.htm

Last I looked its around 1.20 euro an hour, so overnight parking is an expensive business, as is car rental generally. On-street parking overnight is free in Nice but very scarce.

Walking can be one of life's great gifts - ask anyone in a wheelchair - and its the best way to see anywhere. Tell the six year old to give it a try.

about eze village,

the main parking is always fully booked except if you arrive early (9am) or late (after 5 or 6pm).

now, there is a new parking at Col d'Eze, you will find at eze village some direction sign, = you drive about 5 min to the hill, you pay 5 euros fee for the parking (only one rate = one day) but if you visit the exotic garden... you will get 5 euros discount = the parking will be free.

from the parking at Col d'Eze, they have a free shuttle for you to go down to Eze Village

There are park and ride car parks in Nice called parcAzur which may be cheaper for people visiting for the day but they can't be used overnight

Parcazur "Las Planas" 765 places

Parcazur "Pont Michel" 260 places

Parcazur "Vauban" 150 places

Parcazur "Saint-Augustin" 184 places

Thank you all a lot. We will be staying out of town in a hotel with a convenient parking. So we will need hour based parking during the day times.

All the information helped a lot, thank you

If you don't mind, I would use this thread to get more detailed info on parking in Nice rather then opening another one with the same subject

We will be in Nice (old town, near Place Garibaldi) 10 days in July and are coming by our car.

What would be the cheapest way of parking and where exactly?

I surely hope there is better solution that paying parking per hour, we then might as well sleep instead paying an apartment lol

we kept a car in Nice for 18 months during which we paid by the hour or week or free

by the hour I think someone said it is €1.30 but the machines are "smart" so you pay 9 am to 12 , then 2pm to 6 pm but you cannot do the whole day in one hit

overnight in a private will be more;there are free spaces in some areas but none that I know near Garriboldi- alternative free spaces in resi areas like Cimiez

BUT if you can afford to drive down then you can afford to park; its less than a kir royale per day

Driving to Nice from Serbia is much cheaper that paying 3 plane tickets for all of us, trust me :D plus much more convenient as get to see all beautiful places as you drive..

I don't know if any parking give the option of buying a 10-day ticket or so?

Tried to check on semiascs.com but it doesn't seem to work..
