Wifi coverage

Hi,

I will be heading to Nice for a month in February and can't wait.

I hope someone can give me advice on wifi access. I have a Fon connection here in Ireland which I believe gives me access to free wifi when away. Just wondered if anyone has used this, it's meant to work with SFR Neuf in some capacity. Is anyone aware of this or if you search for Wifi Hotspot can you see it. I know there are lots of SFR Neuf hotspots but from memory I don't think i have ever seen FON. Another option would be to buy a cheap connection again any advice appreciated.

AFAIK, if you are in range you can log onto any SFR hotspot using your personal log in details- email and password.

The log in screen comes up when you launch your browser

Thanks Soooz,

Sorry not sure what you mean by AFAIK?

Also don't have and SFR account but the FON system is in partnership with SFR so I just need to check if there are FON hotspots or something like SFR/FON to log onto.

Many thanks

Sorry if I wasn't very clear in my previous post !

It is SFR/FON but may show only as open access SFR

So- Find a SFR hotspot, choose the SFR network without security (there may well be some private secure SFR networks in the same vicinity) from the available wifi networks, then open your browser.

It will show a log on page where you can enter your FON account details

Hope this is better

>>>Irritating isn't it?!<<<

Less irritating than having to type it all out. LOL

Type the letters into Google you'd soon have an answer... there are 16 million results!

Just saying.
