Brunch

Just wondering if there is a recommended restaurant or cafe for brunch that's not too pricey? Is there a specific area of Nice that has nice restaurants that are a bit cheaper? Many thanks.

What kind of menu are you looking for at brunch time?

Hi Catullus,

Nothing too fancy, just croissants, pastries, coffee, orange juice, like a B&B breakfast I guess. The brunch idea came from one of the private beaches but they were charging 25 Euro's per person, so we were hoping to be able to find a little cafe somewhere that would give us a reasonable fill for a more modest amount! That's another reason why we asked if there were areas of Nice that served great food but was perhaps a bit out of the way and so a bit cheaper?

Many thanks

What you want is the usual breakfast in France, although not necessarily including pastries. You can find that at most cafés and some bakeries for well under 25 Euros..

Cafes and bakeries throughout Nice will serve what you are after for under 10 euros , (including those located in touristy areas like the Cours Saleya)
