Nice in September

We have 7 days in Nice mid September. Looking for a quaint village to stay the first 4 nights with a rental car. Would like to be close to the town so we can walk to dinner, thus being able to enjoy wine and not drive at night. We would use these 4 days to tour areas that may not be as accessible by public transportation. Looked at St Paul-de-Vence but it seems many restaurants are closed at night. The last 3 nights we are booked in Nice to enjoy the city using public transportation.

Vence might be an option for you, as would Tourrettes-sur-Loup and Villefranche-sur-Mer. September is still busy; so nail down accommodations soon.

Would make exactly the same suggestions of Vence and Tourrettes-sur-Loup. Vence is a small town with loads of eateries (http://www.vence.fr/restaurants,140?lang=fr), would highly recommend L'Armoise, T-s-L a beautiful perched village with a few places to eat (www.tourrettessurloup.com/index.php…), with my favourite being Grand Mere which does rustic Provençal fair!

I'm planning to visit Nice in a week for 7nights.I would like to see nearby cities such as Monte Carlo,Cannes and St.Tropez. and Marseilles(if it's not too far and expensive)-I would appreciate if you can tell me approximate prices and traveling time for reaching those destinations

What I must see while I'm in French riviera(museums, sandy beaches, famous restaurants, bars, clubs, tips for non expensive shopping..)

Thank you

raska18,

You need to start a new thread; this topic isn't where you will find answers to your questions.
