I am planning to travel 8 days in Souther France and possibly hit Bilbao, Spain for a day just to check out Guggenheim museum. This holiday was planned very last minute (we leave for France in two days) and thus we barely know what to see and even not sure this plan (driving to Bilbao and driving back to Nice). So, here's are questions for driving tour experts;
- Plan we have at the moment: We pick up a car from the Nice airport and then return to the same place after 8 days. No other plans at all.
+ First of all, is it possible, and reasonable, to drive to Bilbao and then drive back to Nice in this short period of time? (While checking out Bilbao is one of our top priority when planning this tour, if it just doesn't make sense at all, we could drop this off from our itinerary. ) If so, what would be the best way to drive there?
+ Could you recommend some good towns/ cities/ whatsoever worth visiting in Southern France? I would definitely do research on my own but need some 'clue' to start with. We like relaxing atmosphere, good food and wine (and also winery). Not a big fan of any sort of water sports but love 'holiday mood' of beaches.
Many thanks in advance!!!
