Savona to Nice & Monaco, & back in 6 hours, this Sunday?

Hi,

We are in Savona this Sunday from 8am to 4pm, and I would like to briefly visit Nice and Monaco

Seems the car rental agencies are closed Sunday.

Seems the train takes 3 hours?

What do you all pros suggest?

!!! Thanks in advance !!!

You could potentially do it if you had a full day /minimum of 12 hours free in savona and could leave on the ealiest train and go back on the last but your timings give you zero lee way for any alterations /delays and ordinary waiting for trains.

Why not just go a bit down the coast from Savona and visit a lovely town/village such as Noli, Varigotti, Finale Ligure etc. ? Or explore Savona itself? You'll need a combo of train/taxi to see Noli or Varigotti. If you go to Finale Ligure you can also walk 1km or so inland and see the lovely village of Finalborgo.
