Is it possible to do Eze village and Villefranche in the same day via public transport ? We are staying in central Nice.
Couldn't be easier. Get bus 82 or 112 to Eze, 20 minutes, then bus 83 to Beaulieu, 20 minutes, then bus 81 or 100 to Villefranche, 10 minutes or walk, about 2 kms.
Yup, verry pretty and well worth doing. Depending on the weather, you may want to have lunch in Villefranche on the seafront.
Depending on when you are travelling, Villefranche has a nice vibe at the end of the day for a drink and snack on the waterfront.
If you have a sunny day and you want to take some fotos, you want to be at Eze at midday so you will have sun directly overhead.
Plan on a couple of hours in Eze....make sure that you go all the way to the top (through the garden) to get the best perspectives westward.
How about if I catch the bus to Eze,then walk down the path to Eze bord sur mer. can I then catch the train to Villefranche?
Yes,the Nietzsche path comes right out at the station.
We have walked up Nietzsche path. It is rocky steep and not as picturesque as you may think. We arrived in Eze very hot and sweaty and this was October not the heat of summer. We got the bus back down and would not do this again.
I have walked up to Eze at least 50 times and always enjoy it. Have done it in about 20 minutes but age is slowing me down! Path is stony and quite slippery coming down, particularly in the wet. Good footwear desirable.
Going down will be a lot easier than going up (this is why Nietzsche went mad). You can always take the 81 bus down to Eze-sur-Mer.
