Short layover at Ventimiglia train station

Will it be a problem with a 10 minute layover? We are taking the train from Nice to Monterosso at the Cinque Terre and we have a 10 minute layover at Ventimiglia. The 4 of us each have a large piece of luggage to carry. Will they let us keep the luggage with us or have to stow it somewhere in a baggage compartment?

Take an earlier train from Nice. These local trains often run a few minutes late, and a 10-minute connection is cutting things fine.

You carry your own luggage onto the train, and stow it where you can find space.

Don't take more lugggage than you can comfortably carry. Don't take huge pieces of luggage or you may not be able to fit it anywhere.
