Vence to St Paul

I note that it takes 5 minutes on Bus 400 to go from Vence to St Paul and the bus runs every 30 minutes.

How much will it cost to take a taxi from Vence direct to Fondation Maegt in St Paul?

SelkieNice, you have previously given us advice on travelling from Nice to Antibes. Many thanks.

We would like to spend a day in St Paul and Vence towards the end of May. Hopefully, Fondation Maeght will have been reopened by then.

Our plan is to take the 8:45 bus from Nice to Vence and see Matisse' chapelle first. Then, we wil go to St Paul to visit Fondation Maeght and White Penitents' Chapel. Instead of waiting 30 minutes for the bus, we wonder if we could take a taxi direct from Vence to Fondation Maeght.

Please advice.

I've never taken a taxi between Vence and St Paul as the buses are very regular but i'd guess it would be 10-15 euros for the fare.

Some advice on St Paul de Vence. The absolutely most incredible time to be here is at sunset - on the Ramparts - all the day-tourists will be gone and will never see this - the view of the golden landscape stretching all around you and down to the sea as the sun sets is indescribable and will never be forgotten.

Watching sunset is a good idea. Unfortunately, the last bus leaves St Paul at 19:30!

Strange that they can run a variety of night buses, yet almost all bus routes stop early evening. Most frustrating as the best views are as you say often at sunset, let alone eating out for dinner.

Room for improvement France.
