1. Re: allergies

I noticed goats milk in quite small supermarkets in various places in France. They also have many goats milk cheeses of course, including the ubiquitous cabecou which is a little personal sized round of cheese. I had it served as part of a set menu but also with honey for breakfast in some places. Also available at the town markets.

Big supermarkets in France are often on the edge of the town and have a huge range of foods, usually specialising in their local foods like cheeses, meats and butters. Look for supermarket names such as LeClerc, Mousquetiers, Carrefour, Casino.

I've seen it around in some of the small, chain supermarkets. Also ewe's milk products if your husband is ok with that. And soya milk. Maybe someone who's a regular of Villefranche can say if there's a health food store there (LondonBob where are you?).

No health food shop but three small supermarkets and a delicatessen, etc. I should think that goats milk would be available somewhere. If not, you could try the Carrefour which is on the main road on the way to Nice, bus routes 81 and 100. There is an excellent health food/organic shop on the Moyenne Corniche, the road that goes to Eze village, coming out of Nice. This is easily accessible by car but quite difficult otherwise. It is behind the first filling station on the right as the road climbs up out of the city.

MC,

I have not been around much recently as I fell off my bike and managed to land on my face. Not recommended if you don't like shocking people. Doctor says I am healing fast and should look as normal as I ever do in another week or so!

All the best,

Bob
