May 1st holiday

I’ll be in Luberon, possibly Roussillon and Gordes, during the May 1st holiday.

Is that a day I should expect a lot of business closed?

Shops, restaurants, maybe even the Roussillon trails?

Thanks!

Most in not all the shops will be opened in Touristy village such as the one you listed.

Supermarket and shops in city (avigon, arles, etc) will be closed.

But since it is a busy bank holiday week end you'll find plenty to do in the village (for example, big brocante in St Remy on every May 1st).

Food market however are likely not to operate on May 1st.

Hope this will help

Sounds like the big brocante in St Remy should be something to check out!

We'll plan to buy any picnic supplies the day before.

Thanks!
