Annecy

Hi

My two teen boys and I are coming to france for our

first time and spending 7 days and nights in Paris

and then doing a train trip to Annecy (2nd week

of april) will 3 nights there be to long, will there

be enought to do- one day we plan to bike and hike-

is there a bus or train to to Genova and is that a

good day trip? I thought about spending one night

in either Lyon or Dijon but thought it might be

alot to do in three days.

any suggestions or thoughts- I am concerned it might

be too cold but reading all the forums it seems

like it might just be fine. We will bring layers.

We head back to paris on April 12 for our last

night before heading back to the States.

We are staying at the Splened Hotel(sp)

Thank you for any input- I am most likely over thinking everything!!!

Do you mean Genova or Geneva? I don't know about trains but Genova (in Italy) is a 4 hour drive south of Annecy, so it's probably not a good day trip, whereas Geneva is a 30 minute drive north.

Bus is much better. Check the timetable (horaire) on the website of the bus company - Frossard. You can get the bus from the central bus station or the train station in Geneva. The train is more complicated - there are very few direct ones from Switzerland into Annecy, if any
