Chamonix Hotel

Heading to Chamonix for a long weekend in February and in need of a moderate priced hotel suggestion. Convenience to town/ski lifts is most important. Thanks!

I don't know exactly what you mean by "moderate priced": different people have different ideas!

You could look at Hotel de l'Arve, which overlooks the river and is just outside the pedestrianised centre of town. Easy parking, if that matters to you. See www.hotelarve-chamonix.com

Sorry.... That is true.

To clarify, looking for nice, but no need for luxury or the $$ hot spot.

$200/night range. Thanks!

I like the Arve or the Faucigny for the town centre - they are both fairly close to the Brevent lift too.

For $200 per noght you are looking at most of them.

I would recommend the Dahu in Argentiere probably 70euros a night.

Take a look at Alpina, we spent a week there last year. Mod priced and great location. The bus to the slopes is right in front of the hotel.

We stayed at the Best Western two weeks ago and it was great. Reasonable price with sauna, steam room and heated outdoor pool. We used the all even though it was snowing.
