Chamonix with kids 9 and 6 years old. 14 a 21 Feb

Hi, I just realised that is a half term in France too? Would it be too crowded on pistes ? Should I change to a bigger resort like Meribel or Tinge.? Thanks.

It will be crowded all over the European Alps. Bigger resorts will probably be busier buy may have better infrastructure. I find the only way to avoid the queues is to go to a very small resort with only one or two lifts.

Everywhere in France will be very busy at February half term.

However if you have children in ski school I would go to a resort like Meribel or La Plagne which have one big ski area as it will be much easier to collect/drop off/see your kids. The trouble with Chamonix is that it is lots of separate ski areas linked by bus and train.
