Wet in mid September?

Was looking to visit in mid-September for a few days, combine it with tour of some towns in Provence (Nimes, Orange, Avignon, Arles).

But some sites indicate that is the wettest month of the year?

Precipitation in Lyon doesn't vary much from month to month on average. And Septembers here are normally very pleasant, warm and not hot although you might hit a couple of rainy days.

Thanks, I'll risk it. Worse come to worse, I'll duck inside museums to avoid the wet weather.

Or maybe just go through the Traboules? Are they open to the public? Lyon tourism has an iPhone app. which appears to make it easy to find all of them via GPS.
