hotel recommendations

We will be staying in Talloires for 3-4 nights in late June. We prefer something less expensive than Hotel de l'Abbaye or the Auberge.

Any recommendations? Any experience with Le Cottage Bise?

Thanks!

Talloires is quite small and seemingly filled with very expensive places to stay. We stayed at Hotel du Lac between the village and the lake. It was a lovely room with a view out and a nice terrace, goos breakfasts but we found the menu at dinner limited. We ate once next door and twice in the place just below our hotel. There was good parking and just a short wander to the lakefront and the ferry to Annecy.

I think the Cottage had a wedding the weekend we were there and a large marquee in the grounds. The wedding was in the village church. Very pretty but we didn't get a chance to see the place.

Hiya,

We are just back from Talloires - stunning location. We stayed in Le Cottage - absolutely loved it. Just wrote a review for it. If you want to know any more just shout. btw there is a brilliant shop attached to pere bise - they have the best cakes!! We got some one afternoon and had a picnic - superb. There's also a great little restaurant called La Savoyarde around the corner - doesn't look much from the outside but it's really nice and not too expensive. The food in Le Cottage is fantastic.

Cheers
