Trains during Christmas to New Years period

I am planning to go to Seefeld in Tirol for a daytrip from Munich and would like to know if there are usually train timetable changes (such as reduced services) between Dec. 26th-29th. Has anybody taken this trip during this time or have any general advice?

There won't be any reduced service during this time. Would be also stupid during the most busy week of the year on this route (Christmas school holidays for skiing, New Years ski jumping event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.)

The timetable stays basically the same all year. There is the yearly timetable change in early December. Which may see some minor changes but the base frequency of the trains will stay the same.

Don't they use the Sunday timetable public holidays? (I know there isn't that much difference between weekday and Sunday timetables in Germany...)

Yes. But this affects only the 26th December and has with the current timetable no consequences if it comes to the trains to Seefeld. There is one earlier train on weekdays (dep 05:38) - but this train goes only to Mittenwald. The first connection to Seefeld departs currently at 06:30 all days.

There may be some minor timetable changes on this route with the new timetable 2014 - valid from 15. Dec. 2013. Hopefully till than enough of the new Talent2 EMUs are ready for this route. And thus also again direct trains to Seefeld (currently one must change trains at Mittenwald).
