Bayern ticket to Innsbruck?

Is it possible to use a Bayern ticket from Munich to Innsbruck (or part of the way)?

No. Only as far as Mittenwald or Kufstein.

The Mittenwald route is more scenic. And Mittenwald is one of the nicest Alpine towns.

From Mittenwald or Kufstein to Innsbruck the VVT tariff applies.

You can buy tickets just to Innsbruck Hbf or the same ticket with "Innsbruck core zone surcharge" (+ EUR 1 for a single ticket). Than you can also use the trams and buses in Innsbruck. Day ticket is twice of a single trip ticket. VVT offers sadly no mini group tickets.
