Neuschwanstein and Mariens Bridge

Hi guys,

I will be visiting Neuschwanstein soon and have a couple of questions I hope you can help me with:

1) Do all buses for Neuschwanstein from the castle ticket centre drop you off near Marien's Bridge?

2) How long is the walk from Marien's Bridge to Neuschwanstein castle?

3) My tour is at 12:55pm and if I take the taxi to the ticket centre, I will get there at about 11am. So nearly two hours before the tour. Would I have time to get from the ticket centre to Marien's Bridge and then to the castle?

4) My train back is to Munich is at about 2:55pm and the tour would stop at about 1:30pm if all things are running on time. Would this leave me enough time to get to the train station?

Many thanks

Mark

See map at bottom of the above page.

1) This is a shuttle service between these 2 points.

2) 5 minutes. But a steep footpath.

3) Yes.

4) Yes.

If such a hurry must be. There are hourly trains from Füssen to Munich and Füssen is really a nice town.

Just there a couple of weeks ago. The side of the castle that you can see from the bridge was covered in scaffolding.

I would agree with Abalada- do spend some time in Fussen if possible since it is a very nice town.
