Hey! I am going to spend two weeks in Berlin this August. What are some of the unusual things to do/see that I must not miss?

What kind of public transportation ticket should I get that is the cheepest? Is there some kind of discount for students? Is it really necessary to have a ticket?

" Is it really necessary to have a ticket?" - I hope you are not considering not buying tickets? Public transport in Berlin is excellent and not expensive. If you are caught without a ticket, you will get a fine of about €60. No excuses.

Weekly ticket for

Berlin AB (city of Berlin) is EUR 30,00

Berlin ABC (plus surrounding places like Potsdam, Schönefeld Airport, Sachsenhausen/Oraniengburg): EUR 37,50.

No student discounts (Berlin students can buy cheap tickets for one term).

Berlin is a huge and widespread city. You won't get far by walking.

What to see depends of course on your interests.

Berlin has many outstanding museums, Interesting architecture of all architectural styles in the past 200 years,

street art, night life (from classic to edgy), ...

It is also a really green city with many lakes, rivers, forests
