Try www.bahn.de. The ICE is the Intercity Express train. I don't think air conditioning has anything to do with it. Rather, this is the fatest train.

Hi Allen,

only some of the Deutsche Bahn ICE trains have air condition.

The difference between ICE and IC train is only the speed. ICE offer the fastest connection and run up to 300km (186miles) per hour, but only on selected routes.

More details in English are here:

Hi!

IC (Intercity) are fast trains on mainlines, maximum speed is 200 km/h. Most of them have a Bistro, some also a Restaurant. All of them have 1st and 2nd class cars (nearly all have air condition) and in first class you have service at your seat (drinks and snacks).

ICE (Intercity Express) are the most fast and modern trains the German Railways have. Maximum speed ranges (depending on the route) from 220 km/h to 300 km/h between Frankfurt and Cologne. They all have, of course, air condition and 1st and 2nd class. All of them have a Bistro and most of them also a Restaurant.
