Would be grateful for some ideas regarding where to go of an evening. My party enjoy rock music and indie music we do NOT like dance music.

Also any retro clubs would be good to

It is the very best club in town and I would have probably gone there every time if it hadn't been for the smoking

The same type, but a bit more modern/indie rock

I see on the website for Bassy club it mentions how they like people to dress. Does anybody know if they are strict on dress codes there?

I had a quick at the website and I'm sure it's not a mandatory dress code of any sort ... they think it makes a better atmosphere if people dress up but I don't think they will hold it against you if you don't.

The only time I've been there was to see a band doing an album release gig early evening (before 12) and there was no indication of any dress policy.

I quite like the Schöne Party @ Kalkscheune which takes part every second Saturday. They have one big dancefloor where they play all kind of music. They also have 3 smaller dancefloors where they have a motto for example rock, 70's, soul etc. The motto at the smaller dancefloors changes every fortnight.

The website seems to be in German only but at least you'll find out when the party takes place.

Went to Bassy Club and there was rock and roll band playing. It was great. The club itself is stylish but the entrance fee can be steep at 15 euros per person.
