shopping for fashion

Hi,

Visiting berlin for a few days and i always love to check out the smaller, independant shops/designers.

Not really interested in the international designer brands i can get in the USA or department stores unless the merchandise is more local.

In doing some research, i came across LaLa Berlin, starstyling, the corner, wunderkind, drykorn,, quarter 206, and galleries lafayette... So thst's the sort of thing i am interested in .. Any other areas/ stores worth checking out?

Thanks in advance!

I suggest you have a wander up Alte Schönhauser Strasse and down Rosenthaler Strasse, and along the smaller streets that run between them. I think you'll find the sort of shops you're looking for there. Mulackstrasse in particular has some very good ones.

The apartment I stay in is in Mulackstrasse, so I see quite a lot of the shops along it. If you can take your mind off clothing for a while, do stop in at RSVP at Mulackstrasse 14, a beautiful and truly mouthwatering stationery shop.

Hi. There is a pretty neat app called Views that has most of the independent boutiques covered. What's cool, is that they have all the store's products inside the app already, so you can see what you like before you go there. Helped me a lot when I went shopping. You can download it through their website: www.viewsland.com/download
